Julianne Hinchey is a dedicated professional. She graduated from University of Washington in 1992 with a bachelor’s degree in history; and went on to earn her Juris Doctorate from Gonzaga University School of Law. Julianne has earned a reputation as a hard-hitting and compassionate attorney, handling some of the county’s most high-profile and challenging cases, including many serious felony matters, serious personal injury claims and a juvenile homicide case which was ultimately dismissed.
Julianne began her career prosecuting criminal cases for the City of Columbia Falls and handling a variety of personal injury and employment litigation matters. After that, she decided to open her own practice, and was appointed by Flathead County as a young lawyer to handle two full public defense contracts. Hinchey & Hinchey, P.C. presently includes Julianne and her husband, Sean, both of whom handle a variety of serious criminal defense and civil personal injury matters. Julianne takes special interest in juvenile criminal defense cases, and has earned a reputation as an advocate who is strong, tough, and willing to fight hard for all of her clients.

Sean Hinchey graduated with honors from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1992 and Magna Cum Laude from Gonzaga University of Law in 1995. Over the last twenty-two years in practice, he has dedicated himself to handling exclusively personal injury and criminal defense matters. Sean takes pride in his zealous and effective representation of those harmed by the wrongdoing of others. He is also proud to vigorously defend those accused of any criminal conduct, ranging from DUI offenses to the most serious criminal charges. Either prior to trial or through trial, Sean will obtain the best results for you.
In January, 2003, Sean opened Hinchey & Hinchey, P.C. with his wife, Julianne. Sean continues to focus on trial practice, emphasizing personal injury and insurance litigation as well as criminal defense. He is a member of the Montana Trial Lawyers Association where he has served on both the Amicus Curiae Committee and the Public Service Committee and the Montana Criminal Defense Association.
